Music Ministry - First Baptist Church, Independence, Missouri

We have a Traditional Service at 9am and a Contemporary Service at 11am
(Bible Study for all ages in the middle, at 10am).

Currently, the Regular Music/Worship Ministry Schedule consists of the
following groups
Adult Choir (7:00 pm on Wednesdays), recessed until August 8
Senior Adult Choir (11:00 am every other Monday), recessed until August 27
Adult Vocal Ensemble
Contemporary Worship Band
Praise Team
Orchestra (7:30 pm on Wednesdays), resumes August 8
Handbell Choir (weekly one hour rehearsal, and you must read music) resume
August 23
Children's Choir (three choirs, from age 4 (by July 1) through grade 6,
6:00 to 6:55 pm on Wednesdays) resume August 29

The music ministry of the First Baptist Church exists for several reasons:
1) to bring glory and praise to God; 2) to provide meaningful and excellent
contributions to the congregation’s corporate worship experiences; 3) to help
singers and instrumentalists grow musically and spiritually; 4) to provide
participants with an excellent opportunity of service and ministry in the local body of
Christ; 5) to provide smaller group “family” settings for sharing, caring, ministering,
and growth.
